Hello readers,
This is the first mailer we've sent out since October 2023. We know it's been a bit too long, but it's been one of those periods where we've been focusing more on building offline than online. Perhaps as a result of this, we've felt even more connected as a community, with the potential for meeting our contributors and readers in person!
SOFT LAUNCH OF MYSTICETI’S CENTRE FOR ART AND STORYTELLING
Mysticeti's Centre for Art and Storytelling (CAS) is a vibrant hub in the heart of Varanasi, offering dedicated areas for reading, creating, and everything in between! Initially launched with Mysticeti's partner schools in December 2023, this unique Center, tailor-made for children, is set to open its doors to the public in 2024.
NEW STORIES
‘Analog Home’ by Pratik Tushar is a series of sketches attempting to portray the artist's home, the place where he was born and raised.
‘Folktales from Virus Land’ by Anindita Das is a short story about the harsh realities confronted by migrants, particularly those from the northeastern region, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
‘Sometimes Samantha’ by Ananya Surana is a third-person narrative reflecting on monotony, loneliness, and the search for connections in urban life.
‘Expression 08’ is a collection of thoughts, inspired by photographs of a pigeon, that explore the themes of solitude and the search for home. The prompt is by Ronald Tuhin D'Rozario, with words contributed by Akansha Ahirwar, Gowri N Kishore, Swapnil, and Sanjana Mukund.
