Mysticeti is a space for artists from all ages and identities to share their creativity. Founded in 2021, it has evolved into a growing community of more than fifty artists and contributors. Its initiatives have been featured by The Hindu and The New Yorker among others.
One of Mysticeti's initiatives is ‘Little Mysticeti’, designed for children to nurture and express their creative potential. As a part of this vision, Mysticeti collaborates with primary schools and child development initiatives to facilitate engaging art and storytelling activities.
Here’s a glimpse into all that Little Mysticeti has been upto ~
1 Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) sessions with primary schools
Mysticeti’s SEL sessions incorporate art and storytelling activities that empower children to become more aware about themselves, and express their thoughts, aspirations, and ideas. The sessions nurture their imagination, curiosity and creativity and help the children develop a stronger sense of individuality.
2 Visit ‘Stripes’ - an art gallery created with children between the ages of 6 and 12 years.
The gallery showcases 70 artworks that represent the connection between the little artists' imagination, creativity, and the natural world.
This art gallery was created with the children of Kenzen School in Varanasi. Additionally, it has been curated and is now available on the school's website to reach a wider audience.
3 Read ‘A Little Girl Named India’ - a collection of short stories and poems about childrens’ hopes and dreams for India.
This collection was created with the children of Kenzen School in Varanasi. Additionally, it has been curated and is now available on the school's website to reach a wider audience.
